Diligence, Drought, Dreams

How many times do we give up on reaching our dreams?  The world is full of discouragement, hardships, seemingly insurmountable challenges, and life has a way all its own for getting in the way.  Too many people stop short of attaining their dreams because they hit a season of drought.  What I mean by that is the circumstances stay hard and stagnant for much longer than we would ever like to experience.

That is the time if we truly believe we are on the right path, to dig in and stay focused.  If you deeply believe you are on the proper path for your life, you just are not seeing results, keep pressing forward every day.  It is painful to keep doing the same thing with little or no results.  The reward is so much sweeter in the end if we do keep the faith and focus on the end objective.  Nothing worth doing is easy or fast.  As humans, we do not appreciate things given to us, or quickly attained.

We also often internalize the rejection and hurt, causing it to mount to a harmful level.  Then, it comes out in bursts all over others that truly do not deserve the negative emotional waterfall.  What it largely boils down to is patience.  In this age of instant everything, patience is even more of a precious commodity than it has ever been before.  And even though this is going out into the virtual universe, might I offer up some advice.  Do not believe or interact with the negative elements out there.  Keep the good, positive, and compassionate support; jettison the negative and nasty feedback from others.  There are some people in this world that they think it builds them up to shoot other down.  People like that have always been around it is just hyper visible now that there is this animal called social media.

How do you handle the drought?
