On this day in America, it is a day of remembrance for the close to 3000 people that lost their lives during the terror attacks of 9.11.2001. I remember the feeling in the country the next day after I went out my door. People waved to each other, complete strangers that had never met before simply waving a neighborly greeting to everyone they passed. I wish the country could keep that inclination every second of every day. In the end, we are all humans with loved ones we treasure, friends we esteem, communities we strive to better, and a country we want to have pride and patriotism for. We support our first responders, our soldiers, and our police forces. We do see visions of those collective national neighborhood moments in times such as Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma in the current year’s needs. Make sure you never forget those lost on 9/11, but celebrate the goodness in our country and that we are one resilient country.
